For the first time ITHS Senior Girls Section participated in the Annual Girls Football tournament held at American International School Dhaka.
It was a completely new turf for the students and they were up against strong teams from Canadian International School, Mirpur Scholastica and AISD. However, we still managed to persevere and secure the third position.
The 3-day tournament took place without a hitch however on the second day, Scholastica could not participate with their full team and therefore had to borrow strong players from Aga Khan School. This amalgamated team therefore gained an advantage over ITHS. Finally, CIS came with a strong force which unfortunately defeated us in semifinals.
Nevertheless, our players showed formidable perseverance against all odds even though it was their first time. Monoara Miss, PE teacher of ITHS Senior Girls Section, has complete faith that we'll bring home the trophy next time.
