ALUMNI REUNION 2016

 Alumni of Senior Girls Section were welcomed back to ITHS for the first annual BBQ party  on Friday 26 February.

 Open to all alumni across the years, the reunion enabled attendees to have a close look at events of the school via videos and take a tour of the rooftop of Main Campus.
Meal then followed in the rooftop, where alumni caught up with friends and reminisced about their time at ITHS.

TEACHERS PICNIC



 On 20th February, ITHS Senior Girls Section teachers and their families had a pleasant picnic in Gazipur. They had a great time playing games, doing sports volleyball, badminton and football. Starting the day with a lovely breakfast, they all had relished the BBQ served as lunch.  Around fifteen teachers attended this a day long organization where they were bounded together as one family.

The Base Camp

   
On the festive day of 21st February, the-first-ever t a-day-long trip to  Basecamp of  ITHS was organized at Gazipur for the students of Grade 10,11 and 12. Under supervision of Mrs. Hamide, Ms.Menekse and Mr.Idris, all the students were deluded with mind-blowing activities. They took part in all sorts of exhilarating games such as zip lines, the Giant Shoe, on-tree challenges, cycling, swimming etc. The participants had to deal with the daunting fear along with their ever-persistent rush of adrenaline. Besides, they learned to build team spirit and work in cooperation through challenges.

Fountain Magazine Contest

The results for the written examination on the November/December issue of Fountain,bi-monthly magazine of our school have been announced. The competition has raised awareness on the vital significance of reading varied articles blended with science, culture and religion.  The winners are handed over their cheques during Thursday assembly.

First price: Sumaya Sultana, 9B
Second price: Maria Sultana Limu, 11 and Farha Tasneem Mounee 6A
Third price: Maliha Binte Hasan, 8A and Tahreen Islam Turna, 10A

5th Inter School Bangla Olympiad


Bangladesh belongs to rich and composite cultures and over the centuries it has assimilated influences of diverse religions which is manifested in various forms of cultural activities.
With a view to increasing interest of adolescents in their mother tongue and indigenous cultures and in tribute to all martyrs of 1952, International Turkish Hope School celebrated the International Mother Language Day by hosting the fifth Bangla Olympiad in its own premises on 13th January. It has been regularly organized by the International Turkish Hope School since 2012. Bangla Olympiad is an annual Inter-school competition arranged for the students of English Medium Schools to nourish their interest and intellect in Bangla.
The gala program commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran and rendition of national anthem of Bangladesh. The Head of Senior Boys Section of ITHS Mr. Zubeyir Bayram inaugurated the event with his welcome speech to the audience. The welcome speech was followed by performance of the juveniles in various events. A total of 938 participants from 31 different schools of 44 separate branches vied in four different categories. The school auditorium was teemed with audience to the capacity.

IFLC PHILIPPINES 2016


The 14th International Festival of Language and Culture kicked off with a spectacular ceremony held in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines.
The ceremony was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater with the participation of 2,000 attendees.
The festival is dedicated to the cultivation and education of youth and the creation of a platform to share cultural heritages with peers from around the world.

ITHS Girls Inter-School Football Tournament 2016

This February, ITHS Senior Girls Section hosted its first Girls inter-school football tournament on February 6, 2016. The finest schools from all around Dhaka were invited to take part in the event. Seven schools were chosen to participate. Groups were posted, teams trained hard before the occasion, coaches submitted the squad lists, and before long, the tournament was underway. The participating schools included International Turkish Hope School, (ITHS), Chittagong Grammar School (CGS), Aga Khan School (AKS),   Yale International School , Sunbeams School and Scholastica School . Two teams from ITHS had participated, named ITHS Red and ITHS Green.

7th Graders at Safari Park

International Turkish Hope school arranged a tour to Safari park for the students of grade 7 A&B today(6th February 2016). People need break from their daily scheduled life and a picnic is a best solution to that, it also has some educational value to be able to watch animals closely in their natural habitat. The Class teacher Mr. Kamrul supervised the trip. The students were enthusiastic about the whole place, explored different types of animals; Macaw, Tigers, Lions, giraffes, Zebras etc. It has been stated that they look forward to such trips more often.

Business Week

The 1st Business Week of ITHS Senior Girls Section has been held during dates of February 26-28 at our own premises. This two-day long event which brought a festive atmosphere to the school with its vivid advertisements was a total accomplishment thanks to the hard work of the students and the endeavors of the event initiator, Ms.Basma Mahbub Proma.
On the first day, the students presented their unique business ideas and elaborated on their strategies and promotions in front of a panel of jury. On the second day, on the roof top of the school, Business Fair was inaugurated  (containing food, deserts, clothing, accessories, stationeries, special services and many more) in which our students have established their very own businesses, promote and sell their products and services in stalls.

Grade 12 Birthday Party

Our school goes on wishing their students’ birthdays earnestly. The students born in the months of December and January had the great joy of celebrating their new age with their friends and teachers.

We Host Our Precious Parents

After being entertained by their students’ parents during parents visits for long time, the class teachers of Grade 8 decided to invite the families of their respected students to their own places in order to spend quality time with them and to introduce the Turkish hospitality to their guests.  The gathering followed by  a generous dinner brought a strong bond among students, teachers and parents. 

ITHS Girls Football Team Runner-Up in ISD Football Tournament


ISD FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2016

Early this term, ITHS Senior Girls Section prepared its first Football Team. Nineteen talented students were chosen as the official members from whom twelve are chosen to play every game. The girls had regular practices within and after school. The first game they attended was held in ISD (International School Dhaka) from which our team came home as the runners up. For their first game, however, this was more than an unbelievable achievement! Firstly, winning against ISD with a score of 1-0, then ruling over CIS with a score of 4-0, later victory against Scholastica 2-0.Unfortunately,  we lost against Grace with a score of 0-1. At the end, though, our school held its head high with the honor of second place.

Pedagogy Training in Dhaka University

A group of our teachers have attended in a daylong seminar organized by Department of Clinical Psychology, Dhaka University on 30th January,2016.  The seminar titled as ‘Orientation to Child and Adolescent Development’ shed light on parenting and taking care of adolescences.  

Science Fair

An inter-school science fair has been held on 29-30th January 2016 in Scholastica. Forty five schools with 180 projects participated in the contest. Three groups who were qualified as winners in our school science fair went to represent us and their talents. The Ministry of Education was the chief guest. Our students had a great experience seeing a different variety of projects and interacting with students from other schools. They were accompanied by Mr. RockibulKarim and Miss MenekseTok.
