Victory Day Programme

The International Turkish Hope School has organized a Grand Victory Day Celebration of Bangladesh, on 15^th of December, 2015. Victory was observed in a befitting manner and with colorful display of the Bengali culture and its history. The event brought out utmost festivity at the ITHS auditorium in the main campus which has already been decorated with miniatures of National Mausoleum, colourful festoons and digitized banners portraying the memorable moments of the nation’s victory in the war of liberation.

Parents Badminton Tournament

 Another beautiful event was organized at International Turkish Hope School  for the parents on 11th December,2015. It started off as a cold morning followed by warm weather as all the parents began to arrive in  Indoor Sports Hall at main campus.  

English in Action 2015 in AIUB

A group of students from Grade 11 and 12 have participated in a day-long event organized by The Department of English of American International University under the banner of English in Action 2015 involving students of A-Level schools and Colleges in Dhaka. The grand finale of the events was held on 10 December, 2015 at Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Building, AIUB. The events in the fest include contest in five different categories: Debate, Impromptu Speech, Spelling Contest, Poster Presentation and Expository Writing from Prompt. At the end of the day, after the vibrant contests, our students have collected their certificates presented by Professor Dr. Tazul Islam, the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. 

Grade 8 BBQ and Hostel Program

The students of Grade 8 had a  splendid BBQ party on the rooftop  of our school. Having all the joyous games and activities, not-to-mention the delicious food, everybody had a wonderful time with their respected class teacher Ms.Menekse. The party was followed by a stay-over in Girls' hostel which the students enjoyed a lot through the whole night.

Winter Donation

As temperatures start to drop this month, School Magazine Club of ITHS Girls Section has launched its annual winter clothing drive. Donations of coats, sweaters, blankets and warm accessories collected within our school have been handed over Leonard Cheshire Disability Foundation located in Sector 9, Uttara. The goods have been distributed by the members of the club along with their teachers Ms. Hamide and Ms. Menekse to the residents of this locally managed NGO which works to promote equal opportunity and full participation of persons with disabilities in all areas of society. Not only this endowment has ensured that no handicapped will face the cold weather without adequate protection, but also has  it significantly raised the social-consciousness of our students.

Science is everywhere!

Science is everywhere, and understanding how it is a part of our daily lives can help students gain a great foundation for success in life. Science feeds our curiosity and provides students with valuable concepts and life skills. It gives us a greater appreciation for the world and its inhabitants, a healthy dose of skepticism, strong problem solving skills and research know-how.

Due to these facts, ITHS Girls’ Section organizes a science project contest every year to encourage students, parents, teachers, and the community to take a more active interest in the study of science. This year the 2^nd Annual Science Project Contest was held on 28^th November 2015 in ITHS Senior Girls’ Section. The students from 6-7-8-9 and 10^th grades entered their projects in the contest.  Projects were presented in categories: chemistry (28), physics (17) and biology (15). In total there were 60 innovative and well prepared projects.

Grade 9 BBQ Party

As days grow cooler and the winter beckons, the students are replenished with energy being in search of outdoor activities.  What`s a teacher to do? We arrange BBQ parties along with some fun games and entertainment to meet our students need. On Wednesday, November 25th, the students of Class 9 had wonderful time and a delightful lunch with their class teacher on the rooftop of our school. From handkerchief game to apple-bite race, along with a lovely video of the best pictures of Grade 9 everything made the day a bliss for all.

Science Project Contest is Going on

ITHS Senior Girls Section is organizing a Science Project Contest Today. Lots of projects took place in gallery, It is really amazing that the young scientists got chance to show their researching results and some innovative projects through it. It has started today @ 10:00 AM and will continue up to 2:00 PM.

Table Tennis Tournament Is On

 Sports seems to bring out the best in our students. Considering this fact in mind, our school keeps on organizing tournaments one after another. Currently, table tennis tournament is being held among the students from Class 6 to 12. Enthusiastic tennis players immediately take their places besides the table tennis during tiffin breaks  either to play or to support their friends.

Wall Magazine Competition

 During English Week, Wall Magazine Contest has been held to evoke the artistic self and the productivity within our students. Apparently, all the students worked very hard to put the wall magazine together and the output was noteworthy. This year, the judges had a tough time grading the exhibit by being overwhelmed by the hard work and the dedication which not only portrayed their writing skills, their feelings but also their creativity.

The administration, in order to recognize the hard work of the teachers and students, awarded certificates to the winners.

Food Festival

If there is one thing that all of our students truly passionate about, it is food, especially the delectable range of delights. The  Food Festival organized by Cooking Club members of  our school has taken place on  Tuesday, 24th November. It was  a highly anticipated annual event that showcases the richness and diversity of both Bengali and Turkish culinary landscape.The proceeds of  food festival will be given to Winter Donation which has been initiated by the School Magazine Club.

Grade 9 & 11 Chill Out at Ice Skating

The students of Class 9 and Class 11 have taken their way to Star Ice Rink at Star Zone in Bashundhara City Shopping Mall on Saturday,21 November in order to get one of the most amusing experience of their lives. Wearing protective gears such as helmet, elbow and knee pads, they were all ready to skate on the rink which is actually made of plexiglass. Being bound to fall a lot for the first timers-this was all the fun part of it-, all the students thought that the experience itself was worth it.
