Jasmin Miss Got Syed Mutaba Ali Award 2017

Our Girls Section's Senior Bangla Teacher, Jasmin Munni got Syed Mujtaba Ali Award for writing a novel about travelling named "Istanbul Upakkhan". The award ceremony held on Lakeshore hotel in Gulshan . She has also recieved a gift voucher of TK.50,000 and a crest. Jasmin Munni started writing since 1996. After finishing her Post graduation from Chittagong University she came back to Dhaka and got a scholarship on writing from Bangla Academy (Tarun Lekhok Prokalpa). Ten of her books have been published from many different publications. "Istanbul Upakkhan" is a novel about travelling. In 2011, she visited Turkey with 14 students for a study tour. By sharing all her experiences regarding the tour; she has written the novel. It is all about the five biggest city of Turkey. Turkey is a large country in the shape of a rectangle - the only country bordered by four seas; the Mediterranean, the Aegean, the Black Sea of Marmara. Istanbul is split by the Bosphorus a narrow strait connecting the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, the smallest sea in the world which the Turks affectionately call the "sweet sea". VISIT TO RABINDRANATH TAGORE’S RESIDENCE KUTHI BARI IN KUSHTIA

ITHS Senior Girls Section Teachers and their families paid a visit to Rabindranath Tagore’s Residence Kuthi Bari in Kushtia during Eid ul Adha Vacation.

Rabindranath Tagore lived a part of life here and created some of his memorable poems while living here.
