The Sports Day of I.T.H.S Girls’ Section (class 6-8) took place on Saturday, 03 March. On a bright morning, at the arrival of spring, students kept coming from 8.00 a.m. to the field of the main campus to join in the events of the annual sports. The concerned teacher Ms. Kainath Chowdhurry, organizer for the events, received the children one by one. A good number of interesting track and field games and sports were in the list: 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 1600 m races, suicide run, long jump, relay race, sack race were among all.
It started at around 10.00 am formally. Each event students securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were applauded and the class-wise competitions gained more enthusiasm by the spectators. Students’ impulsiveness was overpowering. Especially the total turn out from class 7B and Prep Class was appreciated. The most attention-grabbing events of the day were the sack race and bucket-filling games among all the teachers of our section. The cheering students burst into playful fun as the events were going on.
Head of Section Mr. Yavuz Koca and Turkish Language teacher Mr. Lutfi Ak were present with other teachers to give students morale and encouragement. The sports day ended peacefully in fun and high spirits.
