Paintings of TURKEY CONTEST

Turkish Language Club of our school invites all the talented students to participate in ART COMPETITION. In this you are asked to submit a painting, on the topic of ‘TURKEY’, between the dates 18th November and 30th November.

CERTIFIED SUCCESS IN TURKISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

Having passed International Turkish Language Exam organized by International Turkish Language Teaching Association between 1^st  May  –  15^th  May 2012, our students deserved their certificates of achievements.
This exam is designed in accordance with European Language Criteria and the certificates are valid for many countries including Turkey.  The certificates of achievement were presented by Head of Section, Mr.Okan Erdem, to our students during a ceremony.

TEST your Turkish for Turkey trip

A tremendous opportunity has opened up for all the middle school students. All the students through class 6-8 can participate in this test which will be held on 7th June, 2012. The first prize winner from each class will win a free Turkey trip  from 6th - 13th July. All the expenses including ticket and visa will be provided by the school.The trip will be around a few cities of Turkey.So, all the willing students brush up your Turkish skills and get ready for the test.

2011-2012 Graduation Ceremony

As we have almost arrived to the end of our academic year 2011-2012, our school has seen yet another batch of spirited students graduate! On May 1, 2012, the school held the graduation ceremony at the Main Campus. The evening started off with a slideshow prepared by the students, which brought back memories of teacher-student memories, followed by speeches from the our O’and A’ level coordinator, Mr. Yavuz Koca, Mrs. Hannan, O’ level Bengali teacher, and Mrs. Parveen. After their valuable words, we saw another slideshow, which captured the times our graduating girls have spent in ITHS. The presentation, followed by speech from the girls brought a tearful and joyful atmosphere in the ceremony! Later, after a presentation from the graduating boys, on their cherished memories, we also heard some of their experiences in ITHS. The last presentation, which came after the speech brought back long ago memories, beginning from the time ITHS was established! It was not only walking down the memory lane, but also a little farewell to our honorable principle, Mr. Bayram Saatci. As we entered the main part of our program, our honorable principle came to the stage, where he shared his prized words and then invited some of the senior teachers to the stage to distribute the diplomas to our graduates! The ceremony went through in harmony and everyone enjoyed a delectable dinner after the program, together with a show by some students and teachers to keep the merriment going! The showstopper was our physics teacher, Mr. Murat who sang a Bengali song with one of the graduate girls!

ENGLISH LANG WEEK

At the second week of April English LanguageWeek was held with mounting enthusiasm among language lovers.Corridors decorated by various projects such as ’International Phonetic Alphabet’ and ‘Thanks’ in Many Languages’ has changed the atmosphere.By the way thanks for Class 8 A/B’s contribution in projects.Along with different activities and competitions students were hunting with an appetite for English Language Cuisine.Quite naturally  there were winners rewarded with humble gifts  by gorgeous teachers of ITHS at the end of the week

Lunch At Edexcel

 After a great achievements by our students in 2011 IGCSE and GCE Examinations, school administrators were invited for a meeting in Edexcel's office on 25^th March. The Edexcel country manager Mr. Saidur Rahman and Isabel Sutcliffe Director of Regulations, Standards and Research hosted the event. The meeting followed by lunch where Edexcel appreciated and congratulated our students for their outstanding results. They also discussed the topics on schooling methods and the reasons played a role in this success.

Independence Day Visit To Savar

 

On the occasion of the 41^st Independence Day of Bangladesh,our students were all busy the week before it in decorating their class for the Poster Competition. Through 18^th March to 25^th March there bustling and hustling in the classes to get the first place in the Poster Competition regarding the Indepence Day. On Sunday 25^th March after the 6^th period few of our teachers went around the classes to judge the decorations and choose the winner. The hardwork of the class that bore the fruit was class 7A who had done a quite fascinating work and caught the teachers attention. The winning class was taken to Savar the next day for a visit along with a few teachers. The visit turned out to be a knowledgeable and satisfying experience. All in all the celebration for 26^th March touched by the Girls’ section with quite a thrill.

Independence Day Poster Competition

 On the occasion of 26th March, Independence Day, our school organized a small poster competition amongst the students of class 6,7 and 8. The competition was to decorate classes by symbolizing Independence. Class 7A won the the competition with flying colors. Class 7B was second and class 6A was third. The winning Class was taken to Savar.
