3rd Business Week - 2017

Class-12B (Radio Foorti & Nandos Operation Tour)

In order to lighten up the aura of the upcoming Business Week 2017, the students of class 12B got the opportunity to take a tour of Radio Foorti in order to get an idea about Media and Radio Station Business Operation as well as visited the South African franchise Nando's to learn about Food & Beverage Business Operations. The students were accompanied by Ms. Fariya Hossain and it was an amazing experience for them. They were allowed to access Nando's kitchen and pantry as well as the restricted studios and recording rooms of Radio Foorti. The students had a meet and greet session with their favorite RJs who enlightened them about the broadcasting policies. To liven up the  tour, the enthusiastic students were auditioned for voice tests, where they performed and recorded scripted ads and shows. It was a practical experience for the students where they witnessed and experienced how two different types of businesses operate functionally.

Grade 9 B&C at Lunch & Refreshment Outing

Lunch will be provided by school and students should come with their school uniform.   Due to immense pressure of Assessment Examinations and extra curriculum activities, the birthday celebration for Class 9B and 9C students were piling up. in order to make up for it, the students and their class teacher Ms. Fariya Hossain planned to have a grand group lunch at Burger King as well as fetch refreshment drinks from Chatime in Uttara. The objective of the outing was to maintain good relation among peers and their tutor as well as to take a break from their hectic schedules. Majority of the students joined for the feast and it was a joyous outing filled with laughter, fun and good food.

Grade 11 Celebrates 100th Chemistry Class

On 15th November, Grade 11 students, along with their Chemistry teacher Ms.Menekse and Class teacher Ms.Hamide, had a lovely gathering upon completing their 100th Period of studying Chemistry since the beginning of academic year. This fun festivity hasn't only given them the realization of how far they have come up in the preparation for As Level examinations, but also provided them with a bunch of fun memory that they will relish in future.

Girls Participated in AKS Football Tournament

It is really pleasant experience for our young football players at AIFT 2017. This is the second time for the ITHS Girls Football Team to participate at the " AGA Khan Inter School Football" Tournament. Along with their team mates, our girls played against BIT and won at (2-0), right after that they played against AKS(White) and won at(2-0). Thus they reached to the semi-finals round and played against AKS(Black) but unfortunately they lost.
At the end of the day, thanks to our honourable coach Ms. Monoara Khanom, we have been able to achieve a strong team. This is a next step forward for winning the upcoming football tournaments and it was an incredible and strategic experience for our players. We are tremendously proud of our girls.

English Singing Contest

In order to scout hidden talents among our students, English Language Department organized their annual English Singing Contest on November 6, 2017.
The event has been  welcomed with  keen participation  of the students who practiced and rehearsed their songs for days ahead.  During the event,  more than 20 competitors performed their melodious songs  in front of judges who evaluated each performance with care according to the rubric including the criteria of Pronunciation, Gesture & Facial Expressions, Choice of Composition etc. Five finalists will be selected to perform in coming English Language Fiesta 2018.

One Dish Party-Grade 11

Grade 11A students cherished a delightful and pleasant One dish party in their homeroom time. Following the scrumptious dishes, the students had an enjoyable activity in which they shared unforgettable moments with each other starting from their primary school years to the present.

Tea&Talk with Parents of Grade 11

On a fine morning of November, the mothers of Grade 11 students have been invited to their class teacher'a house for a Tea&Talk. During their time together, they shared their thoughts and experiences, enjoyed captivating videos on core values needed for upbringing a child along with the tasty treats.

Poetry Out Loud

On 5th November, ITHS Girls Section organised Poetry recitation competition titled as Poetry Out Loud. The participants chanted their well-selected poems enthusiastically in front of the judges. The results will be announced in coming English Language Fiesta.

Birthday Party of Grade 6-B

Nafisha, Abshara, Faiza, Najifa and Sameeha had their birthdays in September and October. Their birthday was celebrated with their classmates and class teacher. Some cute small gifts were given them. They enjoyed having the cake together.

Girls Become Runners-Up in Manarat Inter-School Badminton Tournament
